NETC holds first summer graduation in Dillon County

Northeastern Technical College (NETC) held their first summer commencement in at the college's Dillon campus on August 4. During the ceremony, 95 graduates from Dillon, Marlboro and Chesterfield Counties were recognized for earning certificates, diplomas, and/or degrees completed in Spring 2022.

SC Representative and Dillon County native, Jackie "Coach" Hayes, delivered the keynote speech to the graduates urging them to persevere despite any potential roadblocks they may encounter.

"The key is not to be afraid of failure and not to be destroyed or devastated if you fail," said Representative Hayes. "I encourage you to think about your potential and discover your own abilities. Do not fall into the trap of seeing yourself how others may judge you if you should falter. We are all the subtotal of our own experience, and both our successes and failures enrich our lives. Now you possess the most important key in overcoming adversity... your education."
