Transfer to any college or university in S.C.

The South Carolina Commission on Higher Education (CHE) statewide Articulation Agreement includes 86 courses offered by the technical colleges of South Carolina that will transfer to public senior colleges in South Carolina. Courses transfer as individual courses (Courses for Transfer) or in blocks for specific majors (Transfer Blocks).

• Courses for Transfer are courses offered by NETC that are guaranteed to transfer to four-year colleges or universities in South Carolina. Courses for transfer also include courses from college or universities used to “transfer back” to complete associate degree requirements. Transfer courses are accepted based on your major and the policy of the specific college or university regarding maximum number of transfer credits. A grade of C or better is usually required for transferring courses. Generally, courses at the 100 or 200 level of the course numbering system will not substitute of transfer for 300 or 400 level courses. List of Transfer Courses

Transfer Blocks refer to blocks of courses for specific majors that are guaranteed to transfer to all public senior institutions in South Carolina. These courses have been identified by consensus of all state institutions. The selection of a transfer block is designed to help the student who has chosen a major but is still undecided about the institution to attend. Transfer blocks represent only a portion of the possible courses a student may complete for transfer. NETC advisors can assist students with these additional courses. Transfer blocks have been designed for the following areas:.

  • Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Majors
  • Business Majors
  • Engineering Majors
  • Science and Math Majors
  • Early Childhood, Elementary and Special Education Majors
