Northeastern Technical College's Career Connect is a program designed to get you the workforce training you need to start a new career. All programs are short-term, can be completed in less than two semesters, and give you the marketable skills to land your BIG Job FAST!

Career Connect programs are all college credit classes, which allows you to apply the certification and credits you earn towards additional credentials, such as an Associate Degree. The programs offered are also eligible for Financial Aid and other grant funding.

Accounting Clerk - If you are good with numbers and enjoy mathematical challenges, check out NETC's Accounting Clerk Certificate. This certificate is your gateway to an Associate's degree in accounting and a career in career in both the public and private sectors of this important field.  Learn More. 

Childcare Specialist - The Childcare Specialist certificate prepares students for careers and/or advancement in the early childhood profession. Graduates will be qualified to work in childcare centers, family childcare homes, morning preschool programs, after-school programs, summer camp programs, and some private school programs. These skills are your gateway to an Associate in Applied Science in Early Childhood Education. Learn More.

Computer Numberical Control (CNC) Operator I - The CNC Operator Career Pathway Certificate program stresses principles of interpreting manufacturing part blueprints and the use of basic measuring tools. The program will teach proper use of CNC mills and lathes, safely setting tool and fixture offsets and use of verified programs to complete part projects on machinery. You will also be introduced to G and M code programming for 2-axis CNC lathes and 3-axis CNC mills. This certificate prepares students in the entry-level skills that may lead to an Associate in Applied Science-Machine Tool Technology.  Learn More. 

Commercial Unmanned Aircraft Operator - Unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) operating beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) have the potential to save time, money and lives for utilities, governments, farmers, emergency responders, oil and gas companies and several other users. Commercial Transportation (Non-High School) - The commercial transportation certificate prepares the students for not only the Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required to drive commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) such as tractor trailers, semi-trucks, dump trucks, and passenger buses, but also the business aspects behind the job. Graduates from this program go on to enjoy long careers on the road rather than in an office as an independent contractor. Criminal Justice - The field of criminal justice, whether law enforcement, the courts, corrections, or juvenile justice, involves ever-expanding areas for career opportunities. The need for highly skilled and educated employees will continue, especially with rapidly advancing fields of law enforcement, criminal investigations, and crime scene investigations. There will also be a need for dedicated men and women in the diverse areas that comprise the criminal justice system. NETC's Career Connect program in Criminal Justice prepares students for the skills needed for success at the South Carolina Police Academy. Culinary Arts - Culinary Arts is a basic program to develop a professional foundation in the work habits, techniques, and attitude necessary to obtain and retain entry-level position in the food service industry. Training includes menu planning, portion sizing, and food cost control measures as well as purchasing and inventory control. Students have the opportunity to earn a ServSafe Certificate through the National Restaurant Association. Diesel Preventative Maintenance - This program covers all components and functions of a diesel engine including service, diagnosis, diagnostic testing, hydraulics, electrical systems, heating and air conditioning systems, fundamentals of transmissions and torque converters and fuel systems. After completion of these certificate's students will obtain skill sets needed to enter the workforce as a Diesel Engine Technician. Industrial Plant Maintenance I - The Industrial Maintenance Technician program provides comprehensive knowledge of different mechanical, hydraulic and electrical processes. Upon completing the program students will have the base competencies to perform at a higher level in an industrial maintenance position. The skills for installation, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and equipment repair remain in high demand. As such, employment opportunities as an industrial maintenance technician are excellent.
