When did you start working for NETC? 8/2014 as adjunct 1/2016 full time
What is your primary function/responsibility in your role at NETC? I teach accounting and business courses on campus and online. I advise students and update and develop curriculum for all accounting courses.
How will you help NETC accomplish its Mission to prepare the workforce of Chesterfield, Marlboro, and Dillon counties through education and training? I help accomplish this mission by teaching and advising students.
What is one interesting thing most people do not know about you (hobby, talent, place lived, places traveled, etc.)? I love to travel. My favorite travel experience was a two week "no reservations" road trip up the east coast. We visited fifteen states in fourteen days!
What is a positive experience you've enjoyed while working at NETC? I have thoroughly enjoyed not only teaching, but also mentoring our young students. Four and a half years ago, I decided to leave my 18-year career in public accounting in order to get out from behind a desk and do something that can make a difference in people's lives. I have not regretted that decision!
What is a motivational thought you'd like to share with Prospective Students, Current Students, and/or Alumni? It does not matter what kind of circumstance you find yourself in during this journey of life, it matters what you decide to do about it. Do not let a mistake or a bad decision define you. Allow it to be your motivation to overcome and succeed.
