About Ms. McNeill
Angela McNeill has been a mathematics instructor at NETC since 2014. She strives for excellence with a personal touch by going above and beyond for her students. Every class Ms. McNeill attempts to make math real and tangible to her students. In addition to teaching math, Ms. McNeill is an ABD (all but dissertation) student who loves bead stringing, listening to music, flower gardening, and making folks laugh.
Education & Work Experience
Ms. McNeill graduated Cum Laude from North Carolina State University in Raleigh NC with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies with a concentration in African-American Studies. She was a NC Teaching Fellow and taught in the Public Schools of NC for about 19 years. She earned a Master of Science in Mathematics from Fayetteville State University. She has completed all her coursework in preparation for a Doctorate in the Leadership, Policy, and Adult and Higher Education program at North Carolina State University. She is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi and the Golden Key Academic Honor Societies and has had professional affiliations with American Education and Research Association (AERA) and Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE). Ms. McNeill has taught math courses at Ashford University, Robeson Community College, Scotland County School District, and at Richmond Early College High School.
Students in Ms. McNeill's class will learn mathematics in a structured/relaxed, encouraging atmosphere. Students will learn, be challenged, and come to see themselves as the author and finisher of their own unique educational experience.
