Would you like to learn a new trade? Are you looking for ways to advance your career? Northeastern Technical College's division of continuing education offers hundreds of courses designed for people looking for new job skills, advancement in the workplace or personal enrichment, and now is the time to sign up for upcoming fall classes.

Courses for new job skills or advancement in the workplace being offered this fall include introduction to computers, beginner and intermediate MS Word, introduction to PowerPoint and all levels of Excel classes.

This fall, the continuing education department is offering a number of training programs in the allied health career field. Classes being offered include certified nursing assistant, certified medical assistant, community health worker, EMT basic, and ward clerk/unit secretary. Many of the allied health training programs provide scholarship funding for SNAP recipients through the SNAP2Work program.

The department is also offering training programs in the industrial field, such as the certified production technician program, which offers 100% scholarship funding for eligible SC residents. Other industrial based programs include heavy equipment operator, basic through advanced welding, and several Allen-Bradley and Siemens automation courses.

While many of the programs provide career certifications, continuing education courses are offered as non-college credit courses, and typically meet once a week and last for a shorter period of time than regular semester long classes. Several programs have 100% funding available for eligible SC residents. Funding for many of the new job skill courses are available through the SNAP2Work program.

Registration for classes must be complete 10 business days prior to the first day of class. Classes are limited in size and enrollment is on a first pay, first serve basis. Tuition payment, when applicable, is due at the time of registration.

You may also visit the division of continuing education on NETC's main campus in Cheraw from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday or from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday or by visit one of our community campuses located in Bennettsville, Pageland or Dillon.
