Spring Mini-mester courses start February 17

Was your Financial Aid award letter received too late to register for spring semester classes? Would you like to take another course this semester?  Did you attempt to register for a class, only to find it was full?  Do you have friends or family members who want to start school now, instead of waiting for summer term?

The mini-mester at Northeastern Technical College can be the solution to all the questions above. Through NETC's mini-mester program, new, returning or current students have another opportunity to earn college credit before the summer semester.

The Spring Mini-mester, Feb. 17 through May 9, offers 10-week college credit courses that meet two to four hours per week on campus or online at your convenience. On campus courses will be offered at NETC's campuses in Cheraw, Pageland, Bennettsville and Dillon.

Current students can speak with their advisors now to register for the mini-mester, and students who are currently enrolled full time (taking 15 credit hours or more) can add a mini-mester course with no additional tuition fees!

Open registration for new and returning students will be Feb. 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. at the Student Services Office.  Late registration will also be held at the Student Services, Feb. 17-18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.  Students should note that courses are available on a first come basis.

Financial Aid is available, but applications are required and must be submitted in advance.

Medical Terminology, Art History and Appreciation, Anatomy & Physiology, Small Business Management, and Fundamentals of Math are just a few of the courses being offered at NETC's campuses located in Cheraw, Bennettsville and Dillon.  Payroll Accounting, American History, College Algebra, General Psychology, Introduction to Theater, Internet Programming, American Government, Human Resource Management and several Criminal Justice courses are among the many online classes being offered.

For a complete list of mini-mester courses, visit www.netc.edu.

New students can submit applications for admission online through February 17 by visiting the Admissions page of the college website, www.netc.edu, and clicking on "Apply Online Now." An application can also be downloaded by clicking on "Download Application."

Paper based applications printed from website will be accepted at any of the college campuses in Pageland, Cheraw, Bennettsville or Dillon. For more information, call 1-800-921-7399 and choose option 1 for admissions.
