Five representatives from Northeastern Technical College, including Meirisa Coleman, Vangelia Evans, Leigh Ziebell, Ming Chan, and Griffin Specht, recently attended the 2025 Student Success Symposium held October 29–30 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.
The statewide event, hosted by the South Carolina Technical College System, brought together college presidents, deans, advisors, faculty, and staff from across the state under the theme "Student Success Starts with All of Us." The symposium emphasized the collective role every team member plays in helping technical college students reach their goals.
Participants took part in two days of engaging sessions, including "You Are a Data Person: Strategies for Using Analytics on Campus" with Dr. Amelia Parnell from NASPA, "Defining Student Success" with the Teamer Strategy Group, and "Student Journey Mapping" led by T3 Advisory. The event also featured a student panel that provided firsthand insights into the college experience and strategies for improving student engagement and achievement.
Designed to spark collaboration and innovation, the symposium encouraged colleges to bring teams representing diverse perspectives from across the student experience. Attendees left with practical strategies and tools to strengthen student outcomes and promote meaningful change within their institutions.
