Northeastern Technical College (NETC) recently had the opportunity to engage with students at Chesterfield Ruby Middle School during their annual Career Day event, serving grades 6–8.
The event brought together local professionals and organizations to introduce students to a wide range of career pathways and help them begin thinking about future opportunities. NETC representatives shared information about academic programs, hands-on training options, and the importance of early career exploration.
Students were able to ask questions about different industries, learn what skills are needed in today's workforce, and gain insight into how technical education can lead to high-demand, high-wage careers. NETC emphasized pathways in areas such as healthcare, skilled trades, public service, and technology, helping students understand the many directions their future can take.
Participation in events like Career Day reflects NETC's ongoing commitment to community engagement and early workforce awareness. By connecting with middle school students, NETC continues to invest in building a strong pipeline of future learners who are informed, prepared, and inspired to pursue their goals.
NETC appreciates the opportunity to partner with Chesterfield Ruby Middle School and looks forward to continued collaboration in supporting student success and career readiness.
