NETC Foundation Members Tour Dillon's Inland Port

Members of the Northeastern Technical College (NETC) Foundation recently had the opportunity to tour the Dillon Inland Port following the Foundation's quarterly meeting held in Dillon.

The tour was led by NETC Foundation member Michael Elmore, who serves as Terminal Manager of the Dillon Inland Port. Elmore provided members with a firsthand look at the facility's operations and shared insight into the important role the inland port plays in supporting industry, transportation and economic development throughout the region.

During the visit, Foundation members learned more about how the facility connects regional businesses and industries to broader transportation and distribution networks, helping strengthen opportunities for continued economic growth in Dillon County and surrounding communities.

The visit also provided Foundation members with an opportunity to gain a greater understanding of the industries and employers that Northeastern Technical College serves and the importance of preparing a skilled workforce to meet the region's evolving needs.

The NETC Foundation supports the mission of Northeastern Technical College by helping provide resources, scholarships and opportunities that enhance student success and strengthen the communities served by the college.
