Domtar Paper recently donated $5,000 to Northeastern Technical College (NETC) to support the purchase of a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Trainer for workforce training at the college's newly renovated Marlboro County Campus.
The PLC Trainer will play a vital role in enhancing hands-on learning opportunities for students, equipping them with the technical skills needed for careers in industrial automation, manufacturing, and other high-demand fields. This investment underscores Domtar's commitment to workforce development and strengthening local industry talent.
"We are grateful for Domtar's continued support of our students and programs," said Dr. Kyle Wagner, President of NETC. "This donation will provide invaluable hands-on training, ensuring our graduates are well-prepared for the workforce."
Domtar's contribution aligns with its ongoing efforts to invest in education and the communities it serves, fostering a skilled workforce for the future.
