Northeastern Technical College (NETC) announces Leah Zimmerman as the Dual Enrollment Program Coordinator for Marlboro County High School. She is responsible for helping high school students find success when they enroll in college-level courses at NETC.
Zimmerman is available on-site, at the high school, to help students reach their professional and educational goals. She shows students how taking courses at NETC prepares them to enter the workforce after they graduate. They can also earn credits toward a higher degree.
Helping students develop a plan is critical to their success. Zimmerman enjoys educating students and parents on the many opportunities available to them at NETC. "I love assisting students in our community," she said. "Teaching them the importance of defining their educational paths is the best ways to shape their future and our community."
Zimmerman has served Marlboro County in previous roles; Global Career Development Facilitator for Marlboro County High School, Mental Health Special Needs Case Manager for the SC Department of Juvenile Justice, and Assistant Director of New Horizons Family Center- Clemson Extension.
Zimmerman shares this thought, "Education looks different to everyone, believe that you can create a pathway that is perfect for you."
Zimmerman started her position on September 4, 2019
