College credit fast: 5-week Minimester starts June 22.

Was your financial aid award letter received too late to register for summer term classes? Would you like to take another course this semester? Did you attempt to register for a class, only to find it was full? Do you have friends or family members who want to start school now, instead of waiting for fall semester?

The Summer Minimester at Northeastern Technical College is the answer to all the above questions. The 5-week semester offers the same college credit as the typical 10-week semester, but in half the time, which is why we call it "mini." This summer's Minimester will run June 22 through July 24.

Additionally, students who are currently enrolled full time (taking 15 credit hours or more) can benefit even more by adding a Minimester course with no additional tuition fees. Current students interested in adding another class should see their advisor.

On campus courses being offered include Developmental Mathematics, Fundamentals of Mathematics and Computers and Programming I.

If you are looking for a class that can be flexible enough to fit your schedule, a number of classes are also being offered online. Online summer classes include Managerial Accounting, Medical Office Terminology, Introduction to Computers, Introduction to Criminal Justice, Western Civilization Post 1689, American History: 1877 to Present, General Psychology, Elementary Spanish I, and Introduction to Theatre

Open Registration for Minimester courses will be held on Wednesday, June 17th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Financial Aid is available, but applications are required and must be submitted in advance.

New students can submit applications for admission online by visiting the Admissions page of the college website and clicking on "Apply Online Now."

Paper based applications are available and will be accepted at any of the college campuses in Pageland, Cheraw, Bennettsville or Dillon. For more information, call 1-800-921-7399 and choose option 1 for admissions.

A paper application is also available by visiting the Admission page of the college website and clicking on "Download Application."
