Northeastern Technical College's Theatre Club brought the house down with its production of Glory Road, a completely sold-out performance that left no empty chair and no untouched heart. Written and directed by Theatre Instructor Lisa Morman Patterson, the production demonstrated what happens when talent, training, and community come together with purpose.

Following its overwhelming success at NETC, Glory Road is continuing its journey to Charlotte, offering a new audience the opportunity to experience a production that has already proven unforgettable.

A Star-Studded Stage

The production featured an extraordinary guest performer, Grammy and Stellar Award-winning artist Paul Porter, who portrayed Tina's husband. His presence elevated the production and added a level of professional artistry that resonated throughout the entire performance.

Jordan Eaker delivered a powerful portrayal of Tina, while Matthew Thomas Vincett brought depth and intensity to the role of Jonathan. Their performances held the attention of the audience from beginning to end.

From Campus to the Big Screen

Two members of the cast, Gabriele Davis and Diego Wheeler, have already been recruited by a local film director following their work in the Theatre Club. Both are now involved in an upcoming film set for release on Tubi, demonstrating that the NETC Theatre Club serves as a launching point for professional opportunities in the arts.

A True Community Production

Glory Road was a collaborative effort that included dual enrollment students, traditional students, alumni, and members of the local community.

Students from Public Speaking and Theatre courses also stepped into essential behind the scenes roles as stagehands and prop crew, gaining hands-on experience that extended learning beyond the classroom.

Alumni currently attending four-year institutions returned to participate, adding continuity and depth to the production and strengthening the connection between past and present students.
